An intimate solemnisation at home

A while back I got to photograph a few events that I felt lucky to be photographing, one of them is Sara’s nikah (solemnisation) with Bani. I hadn’t personally met them or their families before the shoot, but it instantly moved me seeing how genuinely happy the two families were despite the different skin colour or religion we might have 💓

That’s the world I always imagine we should live in, also what I always strive to do - to see every human as just that, a human, not dividing people by their races, skin colours, religions, sex, sexual orientations, etc. We are all just human. So happy to feel a little of that during this short session of solemnisation and I hope the world would be a bit more like that.
